Auburn investigators identify couple found dead in apparent murder-suicide

06/25/17 4:50 p.m. — Auburn Police have now identified the people involved in an apparent murder-suicide Saturday. Police went to a home on Hunter Court Saturday afternoon around 2:45 p.m. CDT.

Officers found 40-year-old Daniel Gray and 38-year-old Kimmerly Gray dead inside the home. A preliminary investigation shows an argument lead to the death of Kimmerly.

Police also believe Daniel shot himself after Kimmerly’s death.

06/24/17 7:20 p.m. — Auburn police responded to a home in the 700 block of Hunters Court around 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

According to a release from Auburn police, when officers entered the home, they located a 40-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman dead. Police say the two individuals where known to each other.

Auburn police are currently investigating the case as a homicide investigation resulting from a domestic incident.

The identity of the two individuals will not be released at this time.

Auburn Police Division, Lee County Coroner’s Office, Alabama Department of Forensic Science-Medical Examiner’s Office investigating the case.

AUBURN, Ala. — The Lee County Coroner and Auburn police are investigating at a home in the Lundy Chase neighborhood off of Richland Road Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say police originally got a call around 3:15 p.m. CDT.
