Arts play a big role in our local economy

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Arts and creative industries generate big money for our state, Nearly $63 billion in 2015.

Richard Baxter, Dean of the College of the Arts says the university places an emphasis on the arts with cutting edge programs and state of the art facilities.

The Dean also says historically Columbus has been extremely supportive of the arts.

Brian Anderson, President at the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce says the arts attract people to our city.
