COLUMBUS, Ga.- A local initiative is helping children enjoy the holidays just a little bit more this season.
Kids ages 3-14 waited anxiously to get their early Christmas presents.
Chester Jackson started the giveaway four years ago and four years later, the community’s heart is still driving the efforts to bring joy to kids for the holidays.
Jackson says he saw a need and created a solution.
He believes kids shouldn’t have to worry… even if their parents are.
There were more than 1,000 bikes that were donated by the community.
If you missed Saturdays event you’re in luck because not every bike found a new home.
Starting on Monday there will be more bicycle giveaways at East Coast Body Shop.
