Columbus police search for armed and dangerous robbery suspect

COLUMBUS, Ga — CPD asks for the public’s help to find a man suspected in two separate local robberies.

Police say in a press release 42-year-old Taquawn Pollard is wanted for a case of robbery at the Best Pawn on Holly Avenue on October 7. Pollard is also a suspect in a robbery at Cash America on Manchester Expressway on October 21.

The statement says Pollard has three additional outstanding felony warrants. He has known connections in the East Wynnton, Beallwood, and North Highland areas of Columbus.

Short is described as a black man, stands at 5 foot 6 inches, and weighs 150 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. Short also has a rose tattoo on his right arm and a wolf tattoo on his left arm.

Police consider him armed and dangerous and believe he will resist arrest.

If you see Pollard, police say do not approach him. Immediately call 911 or the CPD Investigative Unit at 706-653-3400.

Anyone with information on Pollard or his whereabouts should also call police.
