SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — A 31-year-old Savannah man faces felony charges in connection to Sunday’s head-on crash that killed WTOC-TV news anchor Don Logana.

The Savannah Morning News reports the South Carolina Highway Patrol has charged Cleveland Coleman with one count of DUI involving death and two counts of DUI with great bodily injury.

Lance Cpl. Matt Southern says Coleman was arrested Tuesday after his release from Memorial University Medical Center. Coleman was being treated following the accident near the South Carolina side of Talmadge Bridge.

Coleman appeared in Chatham County court Wednesday, where he opted to fight extradition. Superior Court Judge Louisa Abbot says that decision will trigger a governor’s warrant from South Carolina.

Coleman will stay in Chatham County until the extradition hearing. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
