On today’s episode of Wild Animal Wednesday, Wild Animal Safari is showcasing their Black Bear exhibit. As you may know, bears are known to go in to hibernation for the winter months. The Black Bear is a little different. They don’t necessarily hibernate, but they do conserve their energy to the point where they operate in a lethargic state, due to their low calorie intake. Before they enter this phase, Wild Animal Safari workers and visitors feed them hot dogs for energy. Wild Animal Safari is now scheduling tours between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday – Saturday. Come on down!
