Local businesses donate to apartment fire victims

COLUMBUS, Ga.- We have a follow up on the apartment fire that left dozens homeless right before thanksgiving.

Businesses in the community have been dropping off donations to Midtown Property Management to help those that lost everything in Sunday’s fire at the Woodcliff Apartments.

Box after box.

Local businesses have been bringing in items all day.

Rugged Home Furnishings and Feeding The Valley both contributed to the cause.

18 units at the Woodcliff Apartments were destroyed in the fire.

News 3 spoke with several families that say they lost everything and now they are trying to rebuild one step at a time.

If you’re interested in making a donation you can bring nonperishable foods and clothes to the Valley Rescue Mission at 2903 2nd Ave, Columbus, GA.
