COLUMBUS, Ga — The Columbus Police Department Property Crimes Unit asks for the public’s help identifying a burglary suspect that targeted the Wynnton United Methodist Church.

A police press release says during the burglary on November 9, the suspect stole a 55-inch flat screen TV.

The release describes the suspect as:

  • Black, male
  • Possibly 30-40 years old
  • Light to medium complexion
  • Slight to average build
  • Close haircut, goatee
  • Wearing a hoodie, sweat pants and dark colored tennis shoes.

Police say it is unknown if he had a vehicle.  A thorough canvassing of the neighborhood behind the church failed to reveal any information leading to the identification of the suspect.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect, is asked to contact Detective Tom Dorrough at 706-225-4304.
