PHENIX CITY, Ala. — Two men are in jail and charged in connection to a drive-by shooting on Stadium Drive, according to a press release.
Police say 22-year-old Zackarey Meadows and 19-year-old Briterrin Campbell, both of Phenix City, have been arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder.
The release says on November 8, 20-year-old Olajuwon Pickett, 18-year-old Joseph Thorpe, and a 4-year-old child were found hurt after a report of shots fired in the 2500 block of Stadium Drive.
As News 3 reported, Phenix City Intermediate School was put on lockdown because of the proximity to the crime scene.
Police say all three victims were treated at Midtown Medical Center and released.
Police later confirmed to News 3 investigators were looking for a late model Ford Explorer, dark blue in color, gold or brown trim, with a spare driver’s side rear wheel. Thursday’s press release says officers found a 2006 Ford Explorer and a handgun after Campbell and Meadows’ arrests.
The case remains under investigation.
