COLUMBUS, Ga.- In honor of Veterans Day weekend, a local museum was transformed into a track for runners on Saturday.
Thousands of people were at the National Infantry Museum for the 2016 Soldier Marathon.
Some runners participated in a full marathon, half marathon, relay marathon and a 5 mile race.
The course took runners from the National Infantry Museum through Fort Benning and Chattahoochee River Walk and ended at the museum.
News 3’s Chief Meteorologist Bob Jeswald participated in the marathon along with Chief Photographer Kevin Roble.
All proceeds from the marathon benefit House of Heroes and the National Infantry Museum.
