COLUMBUS, Ga — Preparation starts Monday for renovations to the sanitary sewer line running through the intersection of Manchester Expressway and Earline Avenue.
Columbus Water Works says workers will be coating the sewer pipeline with a cement-like substance to extend the line’s usefulness.
Full lining work begins Wednesday at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m., according to a press release. Work will continue during these hours until Friday.
The release says while workers are performing the maintenance, overnight drivers should expect only one open lane on Manchester Expressway’s eastbound side. There will also be only one open lane on Earline Avenue northbound.
Security barriers, lights and signs will be up to ensure pedestrians’ safety and limit traffic flow interruptions.
