COLUMBUS, Ga.- Hundreds of people have lined the streets of Columbus and Phenix City for the 27th annual Fountain City Classic Parade.
The 27th annual Fountain City Parade took the city by storm.
Hundreds of people lined up for miles to watch the parade.
Local businesses, schools, city leaders, and local media companies took part in the parade.
Not only did cars rumble down Broad Street in Phenix City, but horses also trotted down the route, which went over 13th Street Bridge and down Broadway in Uptown Columbus.
News 3 spoke with several kids who said their favorite part was the free candy!
The parade kicked off a long day of events and after the parade thousands of people attended the tailgate and football game at AJ McClung Memorial Stadium.
