COLUMBUS, Ga. – Early voting has ended in Georgia with 3,086 people casting their ballots on the final day at the Citizens Service Center in Columbus.
Some voters reported wait times of close to two hours. Local elections officials say more than 34,000 early votes were cast during the three-week early voting period.
Friday, Georgia’s Secretary of State announced the state has already broken a record for early voting. As of this afternoon, more than two million ballots had been cast.
Early voting ended at 7 p.m. Friday.
