LANETT, Ala. — The Lanett Police Department searches for a suspect Wednesday after a shooting in the 800 block of South 13th Street.

Officers say they were called to a home early around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday morning where they found 33-year-old Amos Bledsoe shot multiple times.

Chief Angie Spates says police believe Bledsoe did not live at the residence and he was visiting a relative.

Lanett EMS responded to the scene shortly afterwards and the victim was airlifted to a hospital.

Spates confirms as of Thursday morning, Bledsoe is in stable condition.
