2 teens arrested in Auburn robbery, police still looking for third suspect

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn police have arrested two teens in connection to a robbery.

The two arrests is a result of an investigation of a robbery that occurred around 12:00 a.m. November 1 in the 300 block of West Magnolia Avenue. Officers were given a description of three suspects who robbed a 21-year-old man at gunpoint, while walking back to his vehicle. The victim was not injured, but had his cell phone and an unknown amount of money stolen.

Responding officers located the two teens, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old in the vicinity of the robbery. They were taken into custody and detectives are working to identify the third teen involved.

The 14-year-old teen was charged with robbery first degree and charged with giving false information to law enforcement officer. The 15-year-old was charged with robbery first degree.

Both teens were transported to the Lee County Youth Detention Center where they are awaiting a hearing.
