COLUMBUS, Ga. – Thousands crowded Britt David Park for the 17th Annual “Ark in the Park” Monday night. Event organizers with Britt David Baptist Church say they had 7,000 folks last year and say that number is up this year.
This is the Sipling family’s fourth year coming to “Ark in the Park”. One of Brandy Sipling’s sons dressed up as a farmer and the other dressed up as a cow.
“We live in a neighborhood that doesn’t have street lights so we needed to find a safe environment for our little ones to run around. Nowadays, we want everybody to be in an environment that’s comfortable and we want kids to have fun, but we want to make sure they’re safe at the same time,” Sipling said.
Other children were dressed up as minions, superheroes, and princesses. “Ark in the Park” offered games, rides, and prizes.
