Alabama teen dies after falling out of ATV in Chambers Co.

CHAMBERS COUNTY, Ala. — A teen is dead after he fell out of an ATV and was hit by a car Sunday.

Corporal Jess Thornton with the ALEA says the Camp Hill teenager was a passenger on a 2015 Polaris RZR on Chambers County Highway 62 when he fell out and was hit by a 2000 Jeep Wrangler.

Thornton says the victim was taken to East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika where he later died.

The accident happened about 4.5 miles northwest of Lafayette.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
