COLUMBUS, Ga. – The NAACP says they will be out monitoring polling sites this election.
The organization’s legal defense and educational fund team will be in Columbus from November 4th through the 8th.
They along with the local NAACP Chapter will be recruiting lawyers and law students to help monitor polling sites that serve large populations of black and Latino voters.
Their goal is to make sure all voters have a smooth voting experience and that minority votes are accurately recorded.
They will be holding an election protection training for volunteers on Saturday, the 5th.
