CPD searches for second suspect wanted in taxi driver murder

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Columbus Police ask for the public’s help in identifying a second suspect wanted in the murder of a local cab driver, Dewayne Chronister.

Police say 21-year-old Devin Durden is known to hang out in the Forsyth Street, Fulton Avenue and Brown Avenue area of Columbus. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Durden is approximately 6′ tall and weights about 144 pounds. He also has several tattoos that read RIP Byrd, Savage Life and RIP Cross.

As News 3 has reported, Chronister was shot October 17 at the Parkwood Estates Mobile Home Park and later passed away from his injuries.

If you know the whereabouts of Durden you are asked to call the Homicide Unit at 706-225-4267 or call 911.
