FORT BENNING, Ga — Fort Benning asks residents to observe Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 29 with trick-or-treating from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Army public affairs office says in a release post residents are encouraged to limit trick-or-treating to the housing area where they live.
The announcement says children 13 years and younger are allowed to trick-or-treat.
Trick-or-treaters should observe all basic safety precautions including:
- Wear reflective, fire-resistant costumes
- Wear costumes short enough to prevent tripping
- Use makeup instead of masks that restrict vision
- Carry a flashlight
- Use caution when crossing streets
Pet owners should ensure their pets are confined to prevent them from being a nuisance.
