PHENIX CITY, Ala – Thursday afternoon real estate agents, developers, and bankers in Russell county had a chance to hear directly what plans their county commission candidates have in mind when it comes to growth for the area.
The Phenix City Board of Realtors hosted a county commission candidate forum today. They heard from Russell County Commissioners competing in contested races and their opponents. The candidates particularly addressed their views on zoning and real estate matters for the Phenix City area.
“One of the main things picking up steam is the mortgage interest deduction . . . Typically are going to be the candidates that are in favor of candidate and its makers,” says Chris Lammons, Association Executive of the Phenix City Board of Realtors.
About 120 people attended today’s forum. Voters will elect the commission candidates on the general election day, November 8.
