CSU students gather to watch final presidential debate

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Students gathered on Columbus State University’s campus to watch the third and final presidential debate Wednesday night just weeks before the election.  A few dozen students watched the debate, which was live streamed in the Main Library.

The library has hosted debate-watch parties for all three of this year’s presidential debate.  Paula Adams with CSU Libraries says the majority of students are first time voters.

“What we do as a library, all libraries do, is provide a platform for civic engagement, but especially for our students so, we’re here to provide an objective platform for them to see the candidates themselves,” Adams said.

Adams lead a discussion among the students after the debate ended.  Students also met at the Davidson Student Center before the debate for a panel discussion.
