Northside Patriots among local teams ready for round two of GHSA softball playoffs

COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Northside softball team enjoyed a few days off after cruising past Hephzibah17-0 and 12-0 in the opening round of the GHSA 4A playoffs. The Lady Patriots returned to practice Tuesday with loud music and plenty of energy, as head coach Brandon Jenkins hoped to keep things loose the day ahead of their doubleheader with Cartersville.

The ‘Hannahs’ will be teammates at the University of North Carolina in two years. Both George, a junior, and Todd, a senior, are committed to play for the Tar Heels.

First pitch for the doubleheader is scheduled for 5 pm.
