WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (CBS Miami) — Police give Legoland the all-clear after a bomb threat Thursday forced an evacuation of the park.
Law enforcement agencies searched Legoland Florida and its resort hotel after guests were evacuated, but say no credible threat was found.
Winter Haven police say in a news release the threat was reported at 11:54 a.m. Thursday and all guests were safely evacuated by 12:43 p.m.
Police say there have been no injuries. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and officials from the state fire marshal’s office helped police search the park.
Legoland tweeted Thursday the park would be closed for the rest of the day.
A police investigation continues into who made the bomb threat and why.
The theme park is located in Winter Haven, southwest of Orlando.
