COLUMBUS, Ga. – A big celebrity was in Columbus Tuesday to help abused kids.
Jeff Foxworthy headlined the youth’s annual “Giving Childhood a Chance Luncheon” benefiting our house at Carpenter’s Way, a Ministry of the Methodist Home for Children and Youth. Foxworthy talked to News 3 about why he wanted to be a part of this organization.
“I think you have kids in this community that need someone to love on. Hopefully on this end when you start love on somebody showing hey here how god use you don’t listen to what they world says about you. It the way god views you hopefully you are avoid that now down the road and they have a powerful story now. They lived through it. They can turn around and do it for someone else,” says Foxworthy.
The Methodist Home was founded in 1872 and serves children, youth and families in crisis.
