Columbus Cottonmouths set to open training camp for 2016-17 season

COLUMBUS, Ga. The Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League will begin their 2016 Training Camp on Wednesday, October 12 at the Columbus Ice Rink located at 400 4th Street. The team will skate between 10:00 a.m. and noon during the course of training camp.

Jump starting the Cottonmouths’ 21st season in Columbus, training camp will continue Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. The season will begin with two exhibition games beginning on Friday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Macon against the Macon Mayhem and on Saturday, October 15 at the Columbus Ice Rink at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the exhibition game at the Columbus Ice Rink are $10.00 general admission tickets and can be purchased through the Cottonmouths Office or the Columbus Civic Center Box.

Training Camp will continue in the Columbus Ice Rink on Monday, October 17 and culminates Thursday, October 20. The Cottonmouths 21st season begins on Friday, October 21 against the Macon Mayhem in the Macon Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. The back end of the home and home series to begin the season takes place as the Snakes Home Opener Saturday, October 22 in the Columbus Civic Center at 7:30 p.m.
