Lagrange and Troup Friday Night Football Game Preview

With 3 weeks left of the regular season, finishing strong is what every team is hoping for.
And in Region 5, 4a there are a couple of teams in the hunt for the 4th spot.
Which leads us into our Friday Night Tailgate Game of the Week between LaGrange and Troup county.

Both teams have had quite the opposite season so far.
the Troup Tigers had a disappointing 1 and 9 finish last year and have completely turned the train around.
This season they’re 2nd in the standings and are undefeated in region play.

“We haven’t reached all of our goals and we certainly haven’t arrived yet, but i don’t think we’ll be sitting here talking about 1 and 9 anytime soon and that’s a good feeling,” says Troup head football coach Tanner Glisson.

And Glisson says it’s all because of his team’s incredible work ethic. And players like Montez Crowe say this year everything just clicked.

“It just shows all of our hard work going into the game. last year we had a lot of me me me players and this year we got a lot of team players,” says Crowe.

And team players is exactly what LaGrange head football coach Dialleo Burks says his team is made of. Burks says a win this Friday night would make a statement for their season.

“You know region wise it’s a big game because it would put us in position to secure a spot in the post season,” says Burks.

And the Grangers finally have their star QB back and healthy… Laperion Perry has played a little bit over the last few weeks, but this should be a standout game for him.

“I mean it feels great to get the experience. Like to get back here after surgery. It feels good,” says Perry.

The Grangers need a win this Friday… because as of right now they are fighting for that 4th and final playoff spot.
