LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange Police tell News 3 they have two bank robbery suspects behind bars. Police say Marcus Ward from Atlanta, as well as William Everett from Louisville, Ky., worked together to rob Commercial bank and Trust on West Point Rd. in LaGrange. The armed robbery happened Friday around 2:30 p.m.
Police say Ward and Everett also held up another bank location in Hogansville Monday, Oct. 3. Hogansville Police caught the two suspects during a traffic stop on I-85 near exit 28 around 3 p.m. Friday.
The driver, identified as Ward, was charged with one count of armed robbery. Everett, the passenger, faces armed robbery, as well as four counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Both suspects are currently in Troup County Jail.
