OPELIKA, Ala.- Friday evening, Downtown Opelika will be transformed into a showcase of what the city has to offer at the biannual On The Tracks event.
Attendees will be able to visit the 25 stops on the trail and try samples of all the area has to offer.
Opelika Main Street Director, Pam Powers-Smith said this event is the best chance for someone who has never been to Downtown Opelika to come and take a look at everything the area has to offer, be able to meet store owners and hopefully attract them to come back.
Last year’s event brought close to 3,000 people to the downtown area.
“The largest thing we get is exposure,” Gallery on Railroad owner Debbie Purves said. “We do a lot of sales that night, but the exposure to all the gifts and art and framing we offer. It’s just a great night for us. It’s a great way for us to advertise our business and do it in a fun way.”
The event is scheduled from 6 to 11 p.m. and ticket information can be found here
