COLUMBUS, Ga.- On Thursday Hope Harbour held their annual Celebration of Hope Luncheon at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.
Hundreds of people packed the ballroom for Hope Harbour’s Hope luncheon.
Mayor Teresa Tomlinson was one of the many city leaders in attendance.
Keynote Speakers, former University of Georgia athletic Director and Head football Coach Vince Dooley and his wife Barbara kept the event up beat with jokes and then progressed into the serious issues that thousands of people in the valley are faced with.
Georgia is ranked 12th in the nation for women who are killed by men and is #1 in the nation in teen dating violence.
Attendees donated new towel sets to the women and their children at Hope Harbour.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Hope Harbour and the victims of domestic violence and their children.
