Botoberfest brings hundreds to the Valley


PHENIX CITY, Ala.- On Saturday if you were in Phenix City, you may have seen hundreds of people outside enjoying the weather and the festivities.

Hundreds of people in the valley came out to experience the Phenix City Riverfront Fall series and the Botoberfest.

There was drone racing, Lego bots and spark art.

Frank Braski, the Founder of Steamul8 Botoberfest created this event to encourage kids to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Kids were able to experience first-hand how robots are created.

Also members from the world class award winning Columbus space program came out and showed off their robots.

The purpose of this event was to expose children to the different side of stem careers.

The next Riverfront Fall series will be October 14th and this time it will be Las Vegas style with classic cars and live bands.
