COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Georgia Fraternal Order of Police president is reacting the recent police involved shootings. Randy Robertson says based on the information from police, Tuesday night’s deadly shooting in Charlotte is a justifiable use of force.
He thinks Charlotte is another example of misinformation and lies being told. Robertson believes the reaction of protests and riots is going to be normal for the next few years.
“The only thing I worry about is that these type of overreactions and the amount of misinformation that is given out after these incidences are what lead to the assassinations of police officers in Dallas and in Baton Rouge of law enforcement officers,” Robertson said.
Robertson says officers learn from these incidents and rely on their training when making split second decisions in situations where they feel threatened.
