MIDLAND, Ga.- Thursday is the annual Pratt and Whitney golf tournament and it’s all for a good cause.
The 13th annual tournament is benefiting the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley.
Thursday’s event will be held at the Bull Creek Golf Course in Midland, Georgia.
It will start at 8:15 a.m. Thursday.
Organizers say about 300 people are expected to attend and about $100,000 dollars are expected to be raised.
For those who don’t know, the local chapter of the United Way works to bring partners together to improve basic needs: income, health and education of all people in the Chattahoochee Valley.
Earlier Thursday, News 3’s Ashley Garrett did a live report from Bull Creek and she was joined by Tana Mchale, an organizer of the event.
Mchale touched on a host of things including: two people traveled all the way from Singapore, just to participate.
