LAGRANGE, Ga — The Troup County Sheriff’s Office says a man is in jail connected to another man found dead in his Chambers County home on September 5.
Investigator Teddy Morris says 22-year-old Cordamion Decornez Cameron was arrested Wednesday night in LaGrange. Morris says Cameron faces charges for the murder of David Heard.
Heard was found dead in his home in the 33000 block of U.S. Hwy 431 from multiple gunshot wounds. At the time, investigators called the shooting “suspicious”.
Morris says the case is now being treated as a homicide.
He says Cameron is being held in the Troup County Jail before he is extradited to Chambers County.
Cameron will appear before a judge Thursday to answer charges of capital murder, first-degree robbery, and first-degree burglary.
