Local baseball team raises funds for Pollard Memorial field

COLUMBUS, Ga. -Andy Hicks, the Head Baseball Coach at Carver High School has been raising funds for the Pollard Memorial Field for a few months.

He is now leading the baseball team after pollard’s death.

So far he’s only raised $1,300, which is a long way from the goal of  more than $125,000.

Dominos has stepped in to help with a fundraising opportunity that allows the baseball team to receive half of the money received.

The Carver High Baseball team currently doesn’t have their own locker room.

It costs $60,000 TO $70,000 to build one from the ground up.

$85,000 to $95,000 for a new batting cage

Thursday is the last day to purchase the Dominos buy one get one cards where $5 of the $10 goes to the carver high school baseball program.
