First Labor Day Classic 10K: Mercy Med of Columbus benefit

COLUMBUS, Ga. —  It’s Labor Day and dozens in our area are getting in a workout and it’s all for a good cause.

Monday morning dozens gathered at the Nissan Headquarters on Whittlesey Boulevard to run in the first-ever Labor Day Classic 10K.

Runners paid $40 to register. All proceeds will benefit Mercy Med of Columbus, a primary care provider.

Representatives say all people are welcome to come in for care whether they have insurance or not.

The race started in front of the Nissan run south via Veterans Parkway, finishing in Uptown Columbus in front of the big dog running company.
