SEALE, Ala. – Folks gathered in Seale Monday for a Labor Day Fair. Families headed to the Old Seale Russell County Courthouse for food, fun, games and more.
Antonio Griffin came with his 11-year-old daughter and three-year-old son. He says he brings his family to this Labor Day event every year.
Griffin says being able to spend time with his family for some fun on Labor Day was his favorite part of the day.
“You want them to have a relaxing day away from school, but then you want to showcase the local history and culture and we have a lot of it here in the Russell County, Lee County, Barbour County area so, they get to see how things happen,” Griffin said.
The Labor Day Fair featured different craft and food vendors as well as live music. They also had games and pony rides for the kids.
The Old Russell County Courthouse Commission Association cooked barbecue to raise funds for the historic courthouse.
