ENTERPRISE, Ala. — Alabama state troopers say they are launching an investigation into a woman’s death after she was hit by a car in Enterprise.
Police Chief T.D. Jones requested troopers look into the accident that killed 45-year-old Laura Diane Pruitt. A release by state troopers says Pruitt was hit at around 8:45 p.m. on Alabama 167 at the 23.2 mile marker.
Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers pronounced Pruitt dead at the scene.
The release says the driver of the 2003 Dodge Ram that hit Pruitt stayed at the scene and the driver was not injured.
