COLUMBUS, Ga — Hundreds of Columbus State University students and employees did not spend this Saturday morning sleeping in. Instead, they spent this morning working to make our community stronger.
Around 575 student, faculty, and staff volunteers took to the streets of Columbus to offer their hands in a day of service. In all, the CSU volunteers served 17 different non-profit agencies at 21 different locations.
CSU says it’s all about giving back to the community it loves.
“Show the community that students of CSU aren’t just there for the education and themselves, but to volunteer their time to be more a part of the community, and show the community that we care, “ says Larry Kennedy of CSU.
This is CSU’s eighth year of holding a day of service.
