COLUMBUS, Ga. – Senator David Perdue made a stop in Columbus Friday morning. He spoke at the Jim Blanchard Leadership Breakfast at Columbus State University.
There, he voiced his concerns about the dangerous state of the world. Senator Perdue Vladimir Putin’s aggressiveness in Eastern Europe, China building more military bases, and the rise of ISIS are contributing to what he refers to as a dangerous world.
“I think we’re already at war. I think the United States has been invaded. When you see the rise of homegrown terrorism that comes out of the social media and use of the internet, I believe that our borders have already been penetrated and we need to treat it that way,” Senator Perdue said.
He added that doesn’t think the Obama administration is always forthcoming with the American people about the dangers facing our country.
