Non-profit gives away 400 decals

PHENIX CITY, Ala.- Chattahoochee Valley Backing the Blue is giving away more than 400 “Back the Blue” decals.

Misty Sipes-Hall is a Board Member in Backing the Blue and she’s created more than 700 decals.

The decals give people in the community a way to show their support for local law enforcement.

Now that the non- profit has obtained 501-c3 status they are ready to accept donations that are tax deductible.

The organization says they’re excited that support is growing.

They now have more than 10,000 members in their Facebook group.

After today, they are no longer giving away free decals. If you want to show your support for local law enforcement you will have to make a donation to the non-profit.

Backing the blue is hosting a family day event on August 25th and 26th at 5 p-m. for the  Russell County Sheriff’s Department, Phenix City Police Department, and Alabama State Patrol.

The event is only open to law enforcement and their families.
