Opelika Police name suspect in mobile home park murder

OPELIKA, Ala. — Police say they are looking for a suspect in connection to last Sunday’s murder at Brookhaven Mobile Home Park in the 1700 block of Hurst Street.

Opelika Police Captain Shane Healey says there is an active murder warrant for 36-year-old Undra Artez Askew. Askew is accused of shooting 35-year-old Joseph Holloway.

Lee County Coroner Bill Harris confirms Holloway was found shot at around 7:15 p.m. Sunday, June 26.

Police identify the suspect as:

  • Adult, black male
  • Height: 6’01”
  • Weight: Approximately 270 pounds
  • Possibly in the company of an adult black female

Askew is considered armed and dangerous.
