COLUMBUS, Ga. – Several local families received keys to their new homes Wednesday thanks to Habitat for Humanity.
Diane Jones and her husband were one of several families participating in home dedications today. To get a home through Habitat you must put in 300 hours of sweat equity, working on your own home, and pay for the down payment.
“It feels great. I’ve always wanted to own my own home and this is my dream,” said Diane Jones.
Our very own Teresa Whitaker was at this dedication Wednesday afternoon. The Columbus area Habitat for Humanity was built and/or refurbished about 300 homes in this area.
