COLUMBUS, Ga. – A 52-year-old man appeared in court Monday, after allegedly trying to rob a bank.
According to our media partners, The Ledger-Enquirer, Dexter Thomas pleaded not guilty to an aggravated assault charge related to the incident. Authorities were called to Wells Fargo on 18th Street Saturday morning.
Detectives say Thomas tired to pass a note to the teller saying he needed $3,000 or the guy behind him was going to kill him. Thomas and three other men were taken into custody. The Ledger says that in court Monday, one of the other men was charged with giving false information.
None of the others were charged.
