AMBER ALERT: Carlie Trent

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is still searching for a 9-year-old girl who they say was taken by her uncle. A release by the TBI says Carlie Trent was taken from her school on Wednesday, May 4 by her uncle by marriage Gary Simpson. Simpson has no custodial rights to Carlie and the two are still missing.

The TBI has released a video of Carlie seen at a Rogersville, Tennessee grocery store just after Simpson took her.

TBI agents say there have not been any credible sightings of Carlie of Simpson. Carlie’s pediatrician Dr. Chris Calendine says he will offer a $10,000 reward for information leading to the safe recovery of the child.

Dr. Calendine says he planned to use the money to save for a boat, but now he would rather see the money used to further the effort to bring Carlie home. The United States Marshal’s Service says as of Friday they are offering $2,500 in reward money for information leading to the child and the capture of Gary Simpson.

Army investigates West Point – The U.S. Military Academy graduates

The United States Army is investigating a group of black women who are set to graduate from the U.S. Military Academy over a photo of them in uniform with raised fists.

West Point opened an investigation on April 28 into whether the women violated Army rules that prohibit political activities while in uniform. At the military academy, public displays of politics by students and staff members are prohibited in an effort to build a unified force.

A raised fist is the well known representation of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Now as the women wait to be punished, the question is: did the photo represent a political statement of free speech, or was it just a case of students showing their sense of accomplishment? The Academy graduation is planned for May 21.

Ozzy and Sharon Osborne potential split

A representative for one of the most iconic rock and roll couples confirms Ozzy Osborne has moved out of the home he shares with his wife Sharon. “At this time, Ozzy is not in the marital home,” says the representative.

Hollywood news sources confirm the couple’s split is not related to Ozzy’s well known history with substance abuse and alcoholism. Reports speculate he is instead involved in an affair.

Ozzy and Sharon temporarily split in 2013 after the singer relapsed into drug and alcohol abuse after years of sobriety. “Everybody knows he’s been struggling with this his entire life and I never knew that he was using prescription drugs. I knew he was drinking occasionally, but I didn’t realize to the extent,” Sharon Osbourne said.

“It’s a disease that not only hurts the person that has the disease, but it hurts the family. It hurts people that love you and we’re dealing with it,” she added. “We’ve dealt with worse and we will deal with it and this too shall pass.”

Ozzy and Sharon Osborne have been married for 33 years.
