2 dead in Barbour Co crash after truck collides with garbage truck

BARBOUR COUNTY, Ala. – A two-vehicle crash claimed two lives and injured two others early Monday morning.

The crash occurred at 6:31 a.m. Monday on Alabama 30 at the 4.2 mile marker, one mile east of Clayton.

31-year-old Tyrone Hamilton and 50-year-old Edward Rose were killed when the 2005 Ford F-350 they were passengers in struck a 2001 International garbage truck driven by 47-year-old David McEntyre.

McEntrye was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The driver of the Ford, 70-year-old Ervin Toney was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injures.
