HOGANSVILLE, Ga. — Sheriff Chuck Smith says the sheriff’s office, along with U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, are responsible for capturing wanted fugitive escapee Travion Terrell Hall. Around 6:45 PM Wednesday, officials say they found Hall at the Garden Inn & Suites on Bass Cross Road in Hogansville.
Officials say Hall was detained without incident. Hall is one of two inmates that escaped from the Meriwether County Jail Tuesday, April 12 at 7:30 PM. Eugene Lamar Mitchell is still on the loose.
The sheriff’s office credits various leads and witnesses that culminated in Hall’s detainment. Task force agents took Hall back to the jail for booking on escape and interference with government property charges. Hall will be held in another jail facility without bond. The sheriff’s office says additional charges are pending for Hall and for those who assisted with his escape.
Anyone with information regarding Hall’s escape or regarding Mitchell’s whereabouts should call 911 or contact the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office at 706-672-4489.
