The festival with 1,000 pounds of Louisiana crawfish and music starts Friday 6:00 p.m. through 11:00 p.m. est and all day Saturday. There is a $10 entry fee.

There will also be more music on the 1100th block of Broadway by the party band Satin Finish from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. est Friday.

Rick McKnight is the Community Support Officer for RiverCenter and Artbeat 2016’s chairman. He says this weekend there’s an event for everyone.

“Kids, old people, young people, arts lovers, people who love beer, people who love crawdads – I mean it runs the gamut in this beautiful section of our town.
It’s incredible where the arts, entertainment, education converge together. That’s the whole point of Artbeat,” says McKnight.
