Car wash raising funds for crash victims’ funerals

COLUMBUS, Ga — A man is holding a car wash today to raise funeral money for his three family members who died in a crash on Interstate-85.

Demetrius Biggers says the car wash will be at Fairbanks Motors off Victory Drive. The fundraiser starts today at 1:00 PM and will last until 7:00 PM tonight.

Donations will help Biggers bury 35-year-old Nikia Wilson, 33-year-old Kayla Wilson and 6-year-old Denyla Biggers. Denyla was Kayla and Demetrius’ daughter.

The three women died in a car accident on I-85 Friday night. Biggers says donations will also help pay hospital bills for other family members who are in the hospital because of the accident.
