OPELIKA, Ala.- A focus group that is part of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program made its way to Opelika on Monday to learn the infrastructure people want to see in terms of bicycling in the country.
Organizers say the goal was to figure out what cyclists want to see not only in their community, but across the country.
James Thrift a cyclist from Opelika said it was great to be a part of the group and itfelt good to give his opinions about the growing interest of cycling. “Because cycling is growing, it is a big hobby, Thrift said. “It is an interest to a lot of people from city to city and it’s just something that’s growing here in Opelika.”
